We are now looking for an Internal Auditor for Sweco Group to join our HQ Stockholm office.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls, assessing the accuracy of financial data, and identifying areas of improvement.

You will, amongst others, be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing audit plans to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Analyzing financial and operational data to identify risks and potential areas of improvement
  • Preparing audit reports to document findings and recommending corrective actions
  • Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of corrective actions
  • Communicating audit results and recommendations to management
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of audit standards and best practices
  • Staying abreast of changes in accounting and auditing regulations

Travelling is part of the role, and it is estimated to about 1 week per month. Occasionally there might be longer travel periods of 2 consecutive weeks depending on the country of travel.

Qualifications

You have at least three years relevant experience within (internal) audit with a good knowledge of internal audit, compliance, internal controls and business procedures. A university degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent is preferred.

In order to be successful in this role you need to have a proactive approach to planning, be a multi-tasker who is comfortable with analyzing complex business and technical situations.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable in working independently as well as part of a remote team. As far as working language you need to speak Swedish and English and be digitally savvy having good working knowledge of Office365 and tools such as Power BI and Python.

As for organizational belonging you will be part of a small team with a nearest colleague based in the UK reporting to Head of Internal Audit based in the Netherlands. The team is part of Group Finance which is led by our Sweco CFO. You will have your home base in our Sweco HQ in Stockholm where most of the Group functions are based. Meaning you will be close to the other colleagues within Group.
