Från 0 till 100 km/h på 3,2 sekunder – det är vad nya BMW M3 CS klarar av. Det är 0,4 sekunder snabbare än BMW M4 CSL, trots att det under huven sitter samma treliters dubbelturbomatade raka sexa. En förklaring till bilens blixtsnabba acceleration är vikten: M3 CS väger bara 1 765 kg, delvis tack vare att baksätet har slängts ut.

Bilen har 550 hästkrafter och ett vridmoment på 650 Nm. Kort sagt: Detta är en fyrhjulsdriven värstingmaskin. Maxfarten spärras elektroniskt först vid 302 km/h.

Enligt BMW ska bilen börja produceras i mars månad, men det är än så länge oklart om den kommer att ha en begränsad upplaga eller inte. Priset i Sverige börjar på 1 550 000 kronor.
