Tax Manager to PwC

PwC is a leading global professional services organisation operating within audit, tax and advisory services. In Sweden, PwC works with some of the country’s and the world’s most well-known companies and investors. The tax practice in Stockholm is organised in multiple groups within corporate tax and is characterised by close collaboration, both internally and with PwC’s international network. The work is business-oriented, quality-driven and often carried out in complex and international contexts.
PwC is currently in a growth phase within international corporate taxation and is now looking for a Tax Manager who wants to contribute senior expertise in advisory services, client responsibility and project management, while also helping to further develop both the business and ways of working.
What we offer
At PwC, you will work in a professional and business-oriented advisory environment where you are given clear responsibility and a high level of trust in client engagements. You will be part of an experienced corporate tax team and work closely with partners and senior colleagues on assignments that are often complex, international and strategically important to the client.
You will have broad exposure to international corporate taxation issues and work with medium-sized to large companies, often in phases of growth, transactions or transformation. Assignments span the entire ownership cycle and involve close collaboration with both PwC’s international network and other business areas within PwC, such as audit and other advisory services.
In this role, you will also work with and contribute to the development of PwC’s modern ways of working and delivery models. You will use digital and cloud-based tools in your advisory work, deliver more interactive outputs and participate in streamlining and automating parts of the work to create greater value for clients.
You are offered a role with real opportunity to make an impact – both in your day-to-day work and in how engagements, client relationships and collaborations develop over time. There are strong opportunities to take on increased client responsibility, broaden your advisory role and gradually develop in line with your experience and ambitions.
About the role
As a Tax Manager, you will be part of PwC’s corporate tax practice in Stockholm, with a primary focus on international corporate taxation. You will work closely with the responsible Director/partners and play a central role in driving and developing client engagements while ensuring high quality in all deliveries.
The role combines deep technical tax expertise with a strong advisory and commercial perspective. You will lead and coordinate engagements, actively participate in client dialogue and contribute to building long-term client relationships. Work is often project-based and carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in Sweden and internationally.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Driving and developing engagements within international corporate taxation in close cooperation with the responsible partner, with a focus on quality and business value.
- Acting as a strategic advisor to clients by combining tax expertise with an understanding of the client’s business and objectives.
- Leading and coordinating complex, project-based engagements together with colleagues within PwC in Sweden and internationally.
- Identifying opportunities to further develop the client relationship and contribute to expanding PwC’s service offering.
- Supporting and developing junior colleagues and contributing to the team’s shared ways of working and skills development.
About You
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in qualified work within corporate tax, preferably from a consulting background. You have a solid understanding of international corporate taxation issues and are confident in an advisory role. You work in an independent and business-minded manner, with the ability to drive both projects and client dialogues forward.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment with many points of contact and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues of different backgrounds and areas of expertise.
We see that you have:
- A law degree or a degree in business law
- Approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience in corporate tax
- Experience from a consulting environment, preferably a Big Four firm or a specialized boutique firm
- Strong project management skills and a business-oriented approach
- An interest in advisory work, client relationships, and developing ways of working
- Experience with Pillar II regulations is highly advantageous
