We are now looking for a Regulatory Expert AML to join our team. This is a senior and business-critical role for someone who wants to combine deep AML/CFT regulatory expertise with governance, policy development and strategic advisory in a dynamic environment.

About the role

As Regulatory Expert AML, you will be responsible for interpreting, translating and quality-assuring regulatory requirements within AML/CFT. You will act as a specialist support function to the business and help ensure that ways of working, governance and documentation are aligned with applicable regulations and supervisory expectations.

A central part of the role is to serve as the primary interpretation function for new or changing AML/CFT regulations. You will analyse the impact of legislation, regulatory requirements and European guidelines, perform gap analyses and support the implementation of regulatory changes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

You will also develop and update policies, instructions and other governing documents, provide expert support in internal and external reviews, and act as an advisor to management on strategic AML/CFT and governance-related matters. You will report to the Head of FCP.

About you

We are looking for a senior AML/CFT regulatory specialist with strong experience from a bank or other financial institution.
You are comfortable operating independently in a senior specialist role and have the judgement and credibility required to support the business in complex regulatory matters.

You likely bring:

• an academic degree, preferably in law
• several years of experience working with AML/CFT in a bank or other financial institution
• strong experience of AML regulation, governance and policy-related matters
• the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance and governing documents
• a structured, self-driven and collaborative approach, combined with high integrity
• excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English
• Experience from a supervisory authority is considered an advantage.
