Legal Counsel to Etraveli Group

As the Group continues to grow its international B2B business, we are looking for an experienced, commercially minded, tech-savvy Legal Counsel to join the Legal team in Stockholm currently consisting of ten experienced lawyers.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the business on complex commercial matters, international negotiations and strategic partnerships in a fast-moving technology environment.
About the role
As Legal Counsel, you will be part of Etraveli Group’s international Legal function and work closely with commercial, technology, product and management teams. You will join an international, innovation-driven company with a culture that encourages learning and development.
You will have particular responsibility for the Group’s growing B2B business and strategic commercial relationships, independently managing matters from initial assessment through negotiation and implementation.
It is important that you are a people person who finds it easy to navigate different contexts, as you will deal with various stakeholders on a daily basis. The commercial aspect is important, meaning you should be able to work broadly and connect with different stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Managing B2B, partnership, technology, licensing and strategic agreements
- Leading negotiations with international counterparties
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders
- Identifying and managing legal and commercial risks
- Partnering closely with commercial, technology and product teams
- Acting as a trusted legal business partner across the organisation
Your background
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with approximately 4–7 years of relevant experience and a strong background in commercial contract law.
You may come from a leading business law firm, an international in-house environment, or a combination of both.
We believe you have:
- A Swedish law degree or equivalent Nordic legal qualification
- 4–7 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong expertise in commercial contract law
- Experience independently drafting and negotiating complex B2B agreements
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial judgement and business understanding
- Experience working with senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and spoken English
Experience from technology, SaaS, digital business, consumer law, e-commerce or travel-tech is an advantage. Experience with IT/technology agreements, licensing, IP, privacy, financial services is also valuable.
