Head of Financial Crime Prevention to Euroclear Sweden

Euroclear Sweden is a central player in the Swedish financial market and part of the global Euroclear group. The company offers innovative solutions for securities management and clearing services, enabling businesses to efficiently handle and register transactions involving Swedish stocks and fixed-income securities.

We are now strengthening our Financial Crime Prevention capabilities by recruiting a Head of Financial Crime Prevention to join our Stockholm office and drive the shaping of this critical function.

About the role

As Head of Financial Crime Prevention, you will have a unique opportunity to build and lead a new first line FCP function. Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the organization’s financial crime prevention capabilities.

What you will do:

• Establish and implement the AML framework within first line, including risk assessments, policies, procedures, and governance.
• Build and mature key processes such as KYC onboarding, screening, and transaction monitoring.
• Implement tools and systems supporting financial crime prevention.
• Collaborate closely with internal senior stakeholders and Group colleagues to ensure strong AML capability in Sweden and contribute actively to strengthening internal controls.
• Stay updated with evolving AML/CFT regulations, sanctions regimes and emerging financial crime risks.

About you

We are looking for someone with solid experience within AML and financial crime prevention, who has the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, business-oriented solutions.

We believe you have:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably from a financial institution, consultancy, or similar environment.
• An academic degree within law, finance or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Experience from building or developing AML frameworks, as well as leading projects or teams, is considered a strong advantage.

To succeed in this role, you are pragmatic, hands-on, and comfortable switching between strategic and operational tasks. You take ownership, are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, and thrive in an environment where you can make a real impact. You are also a collaborative team player who enjoys working in an international setting.
