Who We Are

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.

To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

What You’ll Do

Are you passionate about creating high-impact partnerships and corporate events that elevate brand visibility and client engagement? Join BCG’s Nordic Marketing & Communications team as our new External Relations Senior Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping how we position BCG’s brand across external partnerships, 3rd party collaborations and client events. You’ll take the lead on two core areas of our external engagement strategy:

  • Strategic partnerships: Drive BCG’s involvement with key external platforms, organizations, and initiatives that are shaping public and private sector agendas across the Nordics. You’ll proactively identify, assess, and vet partnership opportunities to ensure relevance, credibility, and alignment with BCG’s brand.
  • Client events: Plan and deliver BCG-owned events on high-priority topics like AI, competitiveness, climate & sustainability, and transformation — working closely with campaign teams to align on themes, content, and execution.

You’ll keep a pulse on what matters in the Nordic landscape — from influential forums to agenda-setting organizations — and ensure BCG is present in the right conversations at the right time.

This is a highly cross-functional role that blends strategic planning with hands-on execution. Collaboration is central: you’ll coordinate planning and lead execution across teams, functions, and stakeholder groups to ensure every partnership and event supports our broader external positioning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading BCG’s Nordic partnership strategy, exploring and vetting new opportunities for visibility and thought leadership impact.
  • Executing flagship client events in alignment with campaign priorities, ensuring consistent planning and execution across markets.
  • Coordinating with campaign and PR teams on themes, content, speakers, and messaging.
  • Managing budgets, guest lists, tools (e.g., CRM, Marketo), and evaluation metrics.
  • Maintaining a Nordic-wide perspective on the external landscape to support proactive planning.
  • Acting as a trusted liaison to senior stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and smooth collaboration.

This is a role where you’ll not only lead execution, but also shape BCG’s long-term external engagement strategy across the region.

What You’ll Bring

  • Solid experience in a similar Nordic role involving partnerships, events, or external relations — ideally within a corporate, public affairs, or professional services context.
  • A strong network or awareness of key external actors and influencers across the Nordic region — with a good sense of where strategic opportunities lie.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills — with confidence navigating across seniority levels and functions.
  • A strategic mindset and an eye for detail — able to balance big-picture positioning with flawless execution.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (CRM, Marketo, Verint) and a data-driven approach to impact measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Nordic language skills are a plus.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative Nordic Marketing team, reporting to the Nordic Media & External Relations Manager. You’ll work closely with our campaign and PR teams, as well as senior stakeholders across BCG, to ensure our events and partnerships reflect our brand, values, and strategic priorities. Your ability to connect dots, influence outcomes, and navigate cross-functional collaboration will be key to your success.
