About The Job
The Head of Business Integrity and Investigations will carry out or manage internal investigations and will be accountable for developing methods, tools and processes for such investigations. Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting investigations regarding breaches of Sandvik Code of Conduct and other compliance related matters
- Managing occasional external consultants
- Budgeting and reporting of findings
- Ensuring the effectivemess of Sandvik’s whistleblowing system SpeakUp and successful Compliance Program together with Head of Compliance and SMT Speak Up Committee
- Establishing collaboration with Internal Audit and Internal Control in order to sharing insights and findings from investigations and driving effective remediation.
You will be a part of the Legal Team and report directly to the Business Area General Counsel.
Who are we looking for
In order to suit this position you should have documented experience of investigation work in a company. Furthermore, you should have an ability to:
- Communicate clearly
- Provide status briefings for senior management on the progress and findings from investigation matters
- Present papers to the Audit Committee and Executive Management forums
- Train and share knowledge
As you will be in contact with others located in remote geographical locations, you will be enhancing the ‘investigations network’ across the business. This position requires traveling to deal with issues on the ground, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the investigations process and most importantly, engaging with management in relation to appropriate remediation action.
In line with Sandvik’s values, the right candidate for this position must believe in fair play and have a strong sense of integrity.You should also be high-performing and responsible, as well as innovative and action-oriented, relaxed and informal.
The successful candidate should have experience of challenging interview situations, be analytical and a structured thinker, perhaps have an aptitude for seeing patterns and have a passion for what you do. Furthermore, you should be prone to take initiative and take ownership.
