As Legal Counsel at Steen & Ström, you will work in a varied and exciting business, with both large and small Swedish and international tenants in a wide range of businesses. As part of an international organization, you will report to the Legal Director of Sweden, and provide legal support to the business with particular emphasis on tenancy, real property and contract law, as well as disputes. You will manage lease agreements and terminations, and handle rent tribunals and related court proceedings. You will advise on all legal matters germane to the business.
- Contract management and contract administration; organize an effective contract signing process
- Control and quality assurance of legal content, structure all leasing contracts before signing
- Ensure that both parties fulfill their obligations under legal agreements and comply with the leasing terms
- Negotiate the specific terms of commercial leases
- Administrate guarantees (collect, follow up and store)
- Handle disputes, insolvency and other court proceedings
- Contribute to the legal watch
You are business-oriented, structured, driven and responsible, and are used to working independently. You have excellent collaborative and communication skills. You are solution-oriented and thrive on providing good service both externally and internally. You have the ability to work efficiently and effectively, and you have excellent legal judgment.
Required skills & experience
You have a Swedish law degree and between 4-5 years of work experience from a law firm, real estate company and/or the like within the above mentioned areas of work. Solid knowledge and experience in commercial leasing, court proceedings and tenancy law is required. Experience or knowledge in construction law, development agreements, and PBL is a plus. You have very good English skills and we prefer that you have experience from working in an international environment.
